PRE-APPOINTMENT

THINGS TO KNOW

After a permanent makeup appointment, you can expect some initial redness, swelling, and tenderness in the treated area.

These symptoms usually subside within a few hours to a few days, depending on your individual healing process.

You may notice that the colour of the treated area may look darker and more intense immediately after the procedure and for up to a week after the appointment.

This is normal and the colour will gradually fade as your skin heals. It is also normal for the colour to appear uneven or patchy during the healing process, this is normal and expected. Any unevenness is gone over in the touch up touch appointment

It is important to follow the aftercare instructions provided to you to ensure proper healing and long-lasting results. This includes avoiding water and makeup on the treated area, applying healing ointment, and avoiding direct sunlight or excessive sweating.

Touch ups

An initial touch up appointment is generally required around 6 - 8 weeks after your first appointment.

On occassion, some people may require extra touch ups due to their health, skin or lifestyle.

While permanent makeup is long-lasting, it may require touch-ups over time to maintain the desired colour and shape.

PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT

For the 24-48 hours prior to your appointment, avoid coffee, alcohol and blood thinners (eg. Aspirin and ibuprofen)

Supplements (eg. tumeric, omegas, krill oil vitamin A, C and E) must be stopped for 4 days prior to the appointment.

If you use anti-aging products, stop using these at least 7 days prior to your appointment and do not use them for at least 3 weeks post appointment.

Please advise our studio if you plan to have any facial altering procedures (eg. Botox, PDO threads, micro-needling, plasma-sublimation, PRP, surgery, etc.) in the 2 months before or after your microblading appointment. This may require appointment to be rescheduled.

If you have been on acne medication within the last year, we will need to reschedule your appointment.

> BROWS<

Prior to your appointment, please stop using ALL products (except sunscreen) on the forehead and eyebrow area.

> LIP BLUSH<

If you have EVER (in your life) had herpes, cold sores or sun blisters, you must take anti-viral medication prescribed to you by your family doctor for at least 2 days before and 3 days after after your lip appointment. This is to prevent a cold sore outbreak and is strongly recommended by our studio. If you need a script, you can go to your GP or search for an online appointment with an Australian doctor using Google.

>EYELINER<

Discontinue using any eyelash growth serums (Latisse, Eyenvy, etc) at least 6 weeks before your appointment.  Do not continue until 4 weeks after your TOUCH UP appointment.

ANAESTHETIC

Even though our procedures are very soft, if you know that your pain tolerance is quite low, you may take a paracetamol before the appointment. You can also opt in to purchase a stronger anaesthetic using this link HERE.  Unfortunately, we are not allowed to purchase this on your behalf, only the client is allowed to order and purchase anaesthetic in accordance with Australian legislation.
